China Lesso Group Holdings Limited is a major industrial group in the domestic piping and building materials sector. Its business spans several areas including pipelines, building materials and home improvement, environmental protection, supply chain service platforms, and photovoltaic new energy. The product range covers pipelines, photovoltaic new energy, plumbing and sanitary ware, integrated kitchens, integrated doors and windows, aluminum formwork and intelligent climbing frames, water purification equipment, waterproof and sealant adhesives, firefighting equipment, valves, electrical wires and cables, lighting, sanitary materials, environmental protection, agricultural facilities, and marine aquaculture cages.
According to Ma Hongming, the production manager at Wuhan Lesso Molds, materials were previously transported manually, and various management data within the factory had to be computed by humans. This highlighted issues such as low logistics and transportation efficiency and inadequate manpower, prompting a shift towards intelligent transformation.
Transitioning from manual operations to data-driven processes, the workshop transformation has achieved 24/7 continuous operation, with a 25% increase in capacity and a 100% improvement in parts processing efficiency. Equipment utilization rate has increased by 125%, and logistics transfer efficiency has improved by over 200%. Previously, each worker managed an average of 3 machines, but now one worker can oversee 12 machines. The time required for production data analysis has decreased from 24 hours to just 2 hours.
Previously, manual methods dominated material transportation and data computations within the factory, exacerbating issues like low logistics efficiency and insufficient manpower. Following the launch of the smart project, Wuhan Lesso’s traditional workshops have benefited from reduced energy and manpower consumption, significantly enhanced production efficiency, and continually improved product quality assurance, enabling Lesso to compete more confidently in the market.
