Digitalized Full-process Management of Mold Manufacturing
On August 23, the 2024 EMAN User Conference concluded successfully in Shenzhen. Under the theme "Intelligent Manufacturing New Era, New Quality Wins the Future," the conference focused on key manufacturing fields such as molds, injection molding, stamping, and equipment. Nearly 500 attendees, including renowned industry experts, EMAN customers, and ecosystem partners, gathered to celebrate this grand event.
The conference featured one main forum and three parallel sub-forums, with nearly 30 industry and technical experts sharing their experiences and achievements in 25 thematic sessions. The discussions revolved around hot topics, cutting-edge technologies, and transformation challenges, exploring new paths for digital transformation in the era of new industrialization and new quality productivity, and driving innovative practices to create a new future for high-quality manufacturing development.
Main Forum: Confronting the "Volume" Era, Achieving "Transformative" Growth
On the morning of August 23, Qin Ke, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Die & Mould Industry Association, delivered the opening speech as a special guest. She noted that EMAN Technology has grown from its inception to become an industry leader, witnessing the profound transformation of China’s mold industry. EMAN’s focus on digitalization, automation, and intelligence has provided critical support for the global competitiveness of China’s mold industry. She affirmed EMAN’s role in advancing digital transformation in manufacturing, especially under the concept of new quality productivity, helping the industry break free from "internal volume" and achieve high-quality development.She also mentioned the China Die & Mould Industry Association’s future plans, including producing a documentary titled China Molds to raise public awareness and attention to molds and manufacturing. Finally, she extended her best wishes to EMAN Technology and all attendees.
Dr. Yi Ping, Chairman and General Manager of EMAN Technology, delivered the keynote report Intelligent Manufacturing New Era, New Quality Wins the Future. Dr. Yi analyzed the current challenges of "internal volume" and global opportunities in manufacturing, pointing out that amid price cuts and profit compression, enterprises can redefine their capabilities through vertical integration and drive new quality growth momentum through digitalization and intelligence.For enterprises seeking "transformative" growth, EMAN provides fully planned digital production solutions covering the entire process from order to production, logistics to delivery.
Addressing the trend of overseas expansion as a second growth curve, Dr. Yi emphasized the importance of solidifying technical and management standards before expansion and building digital and intelligent capabilities afterward to mitigate risks. He expressed EMAN’s commitment to being a trusted digital partner, helping clients navigate the "volume" era and co-create a blueprint for a shared future.
Hu Jianping, Director and Deputy General Manager of EMAN Technology, shared insights on EMAN’s New Integrated Industrial Operating System Release. He highlighted the importance of an integrated industrial operating system, introducing EMAN’s architecture of "one platform, two centers, and N applications," which supports full-process digital and intelligent management from design to manufacturing.
Hu reviewed EMAN’s technological advancements over the past year, including AI applications such as "AI+3D Search Engine," "AI+Process," and "AI+Automatic Reporting." He also launched EMAN’s new "HouYi" APS Advanced Intelligent Scheduling System. Finally, he introduced EMAN’s industry ecosystem development strategy, promoting the transformation of traditional manufacturing into intelligent and efficient operations through a "platform + industry package" model.
Yang Jianzhong, Executive Deputy Director of the National Intelligent Design and CNC Technology Innovation Center at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, delivered a keynote speech titled High-End Leadership, AI Empowerment—Exploration and Practice of Intelligent Manufacturing. Director Yang introduced that the National Center is driving intelligent upgrades in the industry through deep integration of AI and manufacturing, developing smart products, empowering the industrial manufacturing system, accelerating the formation of new quality productivity, and supporting the vision of a manufacturing powerhouse.
During his sharing on the National Center’s efforts to benchmark international standards and collaborate with high-tech companies for technological breakthroughs and application promotion, Director Yang specifically highlighted the cooperative applications with EMAN in flexible automation technology and production management systems. He concluded by calling for steadfast advancement in AI-powered new industrialization, accelerating the construction of a manufacturing powerhouse, and achieving leapfrog development in China’s manufacturing sector.
An Xiaoyu, Logistics Division Manager of EMan Technology’s Yodo Robotics, presented "Embracing New Quality Productivity: Building Blocks for Smart Manufacturing." Yodo Robotics, partnering with EMan, is developing a "Lego-style" smart toy factory in China.
EMan’s integrated solutions for transparency, automation, lean production, and intelligence include software platforms for mold design, injection molding, post-processing subcontracting, and assembly, alongside automated production lines, smart warehouses, and AGV logistics systems. These innovations aim to boost capacity, shorten cycles, and reduce costs.
Liu Dong, APS Product Manager at EMan, introduced the "HouYi" Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) System, addressing challenges like poor cross-departmental collaboration and data silos. He stressed that APS implementation is a "top-down initiative" requiring robust data foundations and scenario-specific algorithms.
Case studies in mold, injection molding, machining, and assembly showcased how the system’s AI-driven scheduling engine and adaptive adjustments optimize efficiency, supply chain coordination, and capacity forecasting.
Wang Xiaozhong, IT Director of Zhuhai Gree Daikin Precision Mold Co., Ltd., shared insights on "Intelligent Mold Manufacturing Applications and Practices." Over 14 years of collaboration with EMan, Gree Daikin integrated smart management systems, APS, and automation, achieving an 80% improvement in scheduling efficiency and shorter delivery cycles.
